Why
Synthetic Greens instead of Real Grass Greens?
Installing a real grass green is costly, but its maintenance
and upkeep is much more expensive and time consuming. Maintaining
a real green requires the purchase of a precision mower,
pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers etc. You have to learn
how to apply the correct amount of chemicals to maintain
a healthy green, and it is still not 100% sure that your
green will survive. You must also have good climate conditions
to keep your green looking healthy. We have heard many golfers
say they spend more time maintaining their real grass greens
than practicing on them. Installing a real green can become
overwhelming for someone who just wants to practice his/her
short game.(Back to top)
What
is the difference between All Pro turf and putt-putt golf
turf?
Our turf is specifically manufactured to simulate a golf course
green. We achieve this by filling the turf with top dressing
such as Black Beauty coal slag. First, the coal slag will
control the speed of the green. More slag means faster ball
roll, less means slower, and the fibers will not mat down
over time. Second, it helps to cushion and hold the ball when
chipping to the green. When properly filled, All Pro turf
will provide an average Stimpmeter speed of 9 or 10. With
this filling process, you can achieve the same true ball roll
and holding characteristics as your favorite course green.(Back

How
much does an All Pro Green cost?
When all materials are bought, a 12' x 30' foot green costs
about $3.50 per square foot or $1,400. Authorized distributors
charge about $10 per square foot of green and up. This is
comparable in cost to a premium set of golf clubs or half
the price of a hot tub. (Back

How
long does it typically take to install a green?
Small greens, such as a 12' x 30' can be installed in one
day. Larger greens such as a 24' x 30' can be installed in
two days. It depends on the weather and how quickly the sub-base
is prepared.(Back to top)
Do
I need special equipment to install a green?
No. Most of the tools needed for an installation are common
household items like a shovel, rake, push broom, etc. However,
you will need to rent a mechanical plate compactor. These
are available at any local tool/equipment rental facility
for a nominal cost.(Back to

Can
the effects of Mother Nature harm the green?
No. Our turf is UV- treated polypropylene and polyethylene
hybrid fiber that can withstand all inclement weather conditions.(Back

Will
this product hold an approach shot from 100 yards or more?
Absolutely! That is why we manufacture two products: a half-inch
turf and 1-inch turf. The true ball roll and putting characteristics
are the same for both. The 1-inch turf holds shots from a
distance of 150 yards or more. Aside from depth, the difference
between the two is the amount of coal slag needed. Twice as
much is needed on the 1-inch for proper holding ability. The
more coal slag in the green the better it will hold approach
shots. (Back to top)
What
type of sub-base is required for the installation?
The sub-base preparation is the same as for a brick-paver
patio. We recommend crushed stone that is unwashed and is
1/4 inch or 3/8 inch minus. This means the stone is not bigger
than 1/4 inch or 3/8 inch. You can find this at a local rock
quarry. (Back to top)

within 1 hour. (Back to top)
